Reel. Wide. Exposed

We make films for places that live in people long after they’ve left.

There is a place where the Atlantic meets the Indian Ocean,
where mountains fall straight into the sea,
and the light —for about forty minutes each evening —
does something that has no name in any language.

We live there.
We film there.
And we have never once gotten used to it.

Untamed Media Productions was not built in a boardroom. It was built on a beach — specifically, the long wild stretch of Noordhoek at the far end of Chapman’s Peak, where the sand goes on forever and the horses still run at the water’s edge at golden hour and the mountain watches everything.

It was built by two people who looked at one of the most cinematically extraordinary coastlines on earth and asked the same question, separately, before they ever picked up a camera together:

Why does nobody film this the way it deserves to be filmed?

The answer, when they found it, was simple and a little uncomfortable: because most people who come here to film it are visitors. They arrive. They capture. They leave.

We didn’t leave.

We make cinematic films for luxury properties, villa rental agencies, estate agents, and Peninsula businesses. Films — not walkthroughs, not virtual tours — films, the kind that make someone sitting in London or Zürich or Sydney close whatever they’re doing, lean toward their screen, and feel something shift.

That shift is the moment they decide to book.

Everything we do is built around producing that moment.

The way we work is not conventional. We don’t show up with a checklist and a shot list borrowed from every other property shoot. We arrive early. We learn a space — its light, its rhythm, its best kept secrets. We find the frame inside the frame: the thing that makes this property irreplaceable, the detail that no amount of description captures but a single shot can make permanent.

Then we shoot it. With two cameras, two operators, the precision of people who take this seriously — and the instinct of people who genuinely love what they do.

We deliver in 48 hours. Because your listing, your agency, your business doesn’t wait.

We are Peninsula-local.
We know this light the way you know a face.
We know which hour is golden and which is gone.
We know where the whales surface in July
and which cliff turns the colour of fire in winter.

And we know — because we have watched it happen again and again —
that when a place is filmed the way it deserves to be filmed,
something happens to the person watching.

They stop scrolling.
They lean in.
They feel, for just a moment, that they need to be there.

That moment is what we make.

B.

The Lens.

There are photographers who take pictures of places.

And then there are people like B. — who seem, somehow, to already know what a place looks like before they raise the camera. Who read light the way others read text. Who are still in the way that only certain people are still — not passive, but present, in a way that makes the space around them settle and clarify.

B. came to the Cape Peninsula and found what he’d been looking for without knowing he was looking.

This coastline — its severity and its beauty, its forty-minutes-of-gold evenings, its winter storms that turn the Atlantic the colour of hammered steel — met something in him that hasn’t quieted since.

Behind the lens, he is exact. A production day with B. runs with the kind of quiet efficiency that clients notice and can’t quite explain — everything on time, nothing missed, no moment wasted. He doesn’t rush the shot. He doesn’t settle for the frame that almost works.

He waits for the one that does.

And it always comes, because he is always ready.

Candy

Creative Director.

Candy will walk into a property she has never been in before and tell you what it wants to say about itself.

This is not a metaphor.

She has spent over a decade learning how to read what a space holds — its energy, its light, its particular quality of silence. She holds ten credentials across energy medicine and consciousness work, and she will be the first to tell you that none of that has anything to do with videography.

Except that it has everything to do with it.

Because what she brings to every brief is something most directors spend a career trying to develop: the ability to feel the difference between what something looks like and what it is. And to film the second thing.

She is based in Noordhoek. The ocean is where she resets. The horses on the long beach are her anchor. The mountain is her compass. This Peninsula is not a backdrop for her work — it is the reason for it.

She is building something that doesn’t shrink.

Every frame she directs carries the full weight of that.

Together

B. finds the frame.
Candy finds the feeling.

Between them, nothing worth capturing gets left behind.
